Eternal Question is the fourth work in my ongoing homage to the music of R. Carlos Nakai and Will Clipman, inspired by Eternal Question, the seventh track on their album Silence and Space. As with Silence and Space, Elemental Fusion and Inward Journey, this artwork emerged through deep listening, meditation and intuition. Rather than illustrating the music, I sought to translate its feeling into colour, movement and mark making.
Rich emerald and forest greens mingle with coral pinks and earthy golds, creating a textured, shifting field of colour.
Beneath this expressive landscape, strong horizontal bands introduce a different rhythm, a moment of stillness and structure against the energy above.
Eternal Question invites us to pause, listen inwardly and embrace the questions that have no easy answers.
